Similan Islands – A World-Class Marine Destination
The Similan Islands are a group of nine islands—“
Similan” meaning “nine” in the Malay language—originally discovered by chance by a passing cargo ship. Today, they stand as one of the most celebrated marine attractions in the Andaman Sea.
What makes the Similan Islands truly unique is the
crystal-clear water that appears almost unreal during the high season. The beaches across all nine islands boast
powdery white sand—finer and brighter than almost anywhere else in the Andaman. Beneath the surface, you'll find a
thriving underwater ecosystem, with vibrant coral reefs and abundant marine life that remains healthy and intact year-round.
The islands are part of a strictly protected
Thai marine national park, meaning
no commercial development is allowed. What you experience here is raw, untouched nature. Most importantly, access to the islands is only permitted for
six months a year—from
October 15 to May 15—allowing the ecosystem to naturally recover during the off-season.
At JC Tour, we’ve been guiding travelers through the Similan Islands for over 25 years. We've explored every island, every trail, and every reef. That deep knowledge has allowed us to design
the most rewarding Similan trips—from single-day adventures to overnight stays aboard nature-immersed boats. If you’re looking for a journey that goes beyond the ordinary, you’ll find it here.
Of course, you might have your own ideas in mind. Maybe you’re looking for something a little different—something not found on a standard itinerary. If so, simply click on
Special Inquiry to share your plan or ask a question. A
real team member (not a chatbot) will respond to you
within 20 minutes.
