Clownfish, often known as Nemo, along with their many species, sea anemones, and a variety of soft corals, come together as part of a fascinating marine community known as the anemone ecosystem. Our trip design team has carefully selected snorkeling spots where clownfish and sea anemones live in very shallow water, close enough to reach out and touch, though we kindly ask you not to. Living far from the mainland, the Moken have maintained a self-reliant lifestyle, deeply connected to the ocean, surviving through skills and knowledge passed down for generations. Their way of life reflects a hunter-gatherer existence, shaped long before agriculture and modern society took hold.
Among all sea nomad communities, this Moken village preserves the spirit of ancient civilization most vividly. Footnote: Neanderthals were a species within the Homo lineage that evolved at a slower pace and could not survive extreme environmental changes. They eventually disappeared, leaving modern humans, known as Homo sapiens, as the remaining branch of human evolution.
